After that I noticed that if I logged onto or I needed to use my NEW password. Due to the recent notice about the security breach, I changed att.net email password by logging onto “MyATT” account profile. When I signed up with ATT U-verse as my ISP about 6 years ago, I got an att.net email address which was routed through Yahoo mail servers, even though I never had a Yahoo email address. I am confused and waiting as it takes time does not seem to be a viable answer. The first person who answered at att said she had received a similiar call in the past week where the old password was still working. ![]() No reply on why my iphone was still receiving emails using the old password. I called att and was told: wait as it can take time, like 24 hours, for outlook to be updated or to call outlook. I did not update anything on my iphone, and have continued to get new emails and have been able to send them even though it is using the old password. I did double check the att.net instructions for outlook setup, and I even took my laptop to my computer fixit guy who agreed. I did not change any other settings on my outlook other than the password. I went back to the website and logged in again with my new password so I know it works. I then clicked on send/receive and both inbound and outbound gave me error messages that user id and /or password incorrect. I then went into Outlook (2007) and input my new password. I changed my att.net email password on the website yesterday. ![]()
